Week 40: Take A Bow

Whew….

I can’t believe it is finally here – the last week of the 40@Forty Project. It has been one of the toughest things I’ve ever taken on, but I’m thrilled with the images that have emerged.

It was really tough to figure out how to end it – what concept should I save for the last week? Over the course of the project, I’ve done portrait tributes from Pablo Picasso to Norman Rockwell. For the big finale, I thought I would turn it around and create a self portrait that actually referenced one of my own works. “Take A Bow” has always been one of my all-time favorite images and seemed like the perfect curtain call for this 40 week performance.
