The Rocking Chair

Last week, I had a mother come in who wanted a portrait done with her daughter.  She had an antique rocking chair that had been in her family for a long time – and we wanted to include it in the portrait.  She also wanted to include the pet cat.

After making a few adjustments and getting eveyone settled in, we ended up with this image:

Everyone looks so relaxed!  I’m sure when the daughter grows up and has kids of her own, she will probably drag that rocking chair into the studio and do a shot like this again.  I just love images like this that really tell a story.
