Painting Project

I’ve been having a great deal of fun painting portraits lately.  I decided to try doing something with an old, Rembrandt style to it.  I found the perfect model and set to work creating a piece with an old master feel.  Here is what I came up with…

I was really pleased with what we ended up with.  The dramatic lighting, combined with the brush strokes, gives the piece the timeless look I was aiming for.   I’m hoping to put together an exhibit of some of these paintings later this year.  I’ll keep you posted!
