Week 11: Old School

Every once in a while, I kind of miss the old days – when I worked in an office and had to wear a tie every day. There is something so classic about the coat and tie. Unfortunately, nowadays – the only time I wear a tie is when I’m going to a funeral or a wedding. I decided to break out the coat and tie – plus go even more old-school by adding the hat. After playing around with the strobes for a bit, I decided to just use the modeling light and go for more of a blur – rather than making the image sharp and crisp. After several takes, I ended up with this cool image.

I gave the shot an antique look by taking away the color and adding some grain. I love the mystery of this shot- it is almost abstract.
